Elcrost build upon the foundations they set in motion with their previous releases "Benighted & Unrequited" & "Foregone Fables". The band presents a concoction of aggressive riffing, rich melodicism and shimmering acoustic as we join Elcrost on a journey deep into the dreamy, autumn wood set upon the backdrop of a fabled gothic world.

Vixenta's side represents a deeper exploration into black metal intertwined with shoegaze as the music weaves through tinges of folk, symphonic, structured electronic & loose progressive influences before concluding with a measured doom metal passage. Vixenta finds a light at the end of the fabled woods only to pull us into a desolate & wintry storm.

La source, c'est le lieu où se rencontrent des symboliques en opposition : les malheureux s'y noient dans le mensonge qu'est leur reflet et les preux chevaliers s'y révèlent ; c'est un écrin de nature où l'on peut avoir audience avec le surnaturel. C'est justement l'univers choisi par Water Nymph dans Heroic Pond, son premier album : on y retrouve le même dungeon synth marin avec cette fois plus de majesté — et on y entend les nymphes chanter et jouer du violon ! Les vampires ne sont pas que ces cadavres livides avides de sang sous toutes ses formes. Bon, c'est vrai, ils sont *surtout* ça. Mais pas que : ils peuvent avoir une personnalité complexe. Si vous êtes rebutés à l'idée de lire Twilight ou Petit Vampire pour en savoir plus, écouter Bloody Horror de Bloody Keep sera une bonne alternative. Si le raw black metal est toujours aussi fun, le vampire est désormais victime de son sort, obligé de vivre reclus — même la production est plus ténébreuse ! Jordan Vauvert
